Presentation of Certificate of Appreciation for Hokuriku Shinkansen Extension Project (Kanazawa-Tsuruga Section)

The presentation ceremony for Certificates of Appreciation for the completion and opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen (Kanazawa-Tsuruga Section), which was opened to service on March 16, 2024, was held on March 25, sponsored by the Japan Railway Construction, Transport and Technology Agency (JRTT).

At this event, Certificates of Appreciation were presented to 76 companies, including our company, JFE Technos, which was in charge of rail welding.

About 200 persons attended this grand ceremony, including of course JRTT, which ordered the project, as well as the companies responsible for civil engineering and construction work, companies involved in the actual track construction, like JFE Technos, electrical construction companies and others.

The completion of this section shortens the travel time to Tsuruga and Kanazawa as follows:
 • Tokyo-Tsuruga: 3 hours, 8 minutes (formerly 3 hours, 58 minutes)
 • Osaka-Kanazawa: 2 hours, 9 minutes (formerly 2 hours, 31 minutes)

Making full use of our rail welding technology and expertise, JFE Technos will do its best to contribute to the Hokuriku Shinkansen Extension Project to Osaka, which is the next scheduled project, in order to support Japan’s railway infrastructure.
