[Date and time]

February 12 (Monday) to February 18 (Sunday)
10:00 – 19:00 Illumination will start from around 16:00.

[Location]

Plaza in front of Satoland Center, on the grounds of Satoland Park
( 584-2 Okadama-cho, Higashi-ku, Sapporo)
(Website: https://www.satoland.com/ )

From evening, 8 large and 32 small igloos, called “kamakura” in Japanese, will be lighted up, creating a dream-like world.
During the day, a special soup from Sapporo Soup Curry Rakkyo will be available (limited quantity), and a lantern-making workshop will also be held. (Preregistration is required for the workshop. Online applications begin on February 1).
Kamakura igloos are an ancient tradition of playing in the snow in Japan. Lighting up so many large and small kamakura will create a “fantasty landscape.”
Visitors can also experience the time called “magic hour,” when the colors of the sky change after sunset, and enjoy the spectacular winter scenery and great nature that’s only found in Japan’s northern island of Hokkaido.
* Please note that the contents of this event may change or be canceled without notice.

JFE Technos carried out all the work to create this special event, from the design to the construction of the illumination.
We’re looking forward to seeing everyone at Satoland!
