Rail-Joining Ceremony for Extension of the North-South Line of the Kita-Osaka Kyuko Line

The Rail-Joining Ceremony for the extension of the North-South Line (Namboku-sen) of the Kita-Osaka Kyuko Line, in which JFE Technos Corporation also participated in the rail welding work, was held on November 26 at the new Minoh-Kayano Station.

The ceremony was a grand event, with approximately 70 persons, including dignitaries such as the Governor of Osaka Prefecture, Mr. Hirofumi Yoshimura, the Mayor of Minoh City, Mr. Kazuhiko Ueshima and the President of the Kita-Osaka Railway Co., Ltd., Mr. Shinichi Uchishiba, participating on the day. After the rails were joined, a train made a trial run on the extended section, which is scheduled to be opened to service next spring on March 23, 2024. In the future,
JFE Technos will continue to contribute to the development of Japan’s railway infrastructure through its Rail Welding Division.
